As dance-makers we create physical vocabularies; as storytellers we invent characters and craft dances from their situations.
We now wish to engage in an experiment of the REAL: real time, real life, real people. We are now filling commissions for portraits, dance portraits that we will create from interviews with the subjects. We will then video and post on our website the final product: a dance portrait of YOU!
How it works: we interview you, then transform the interview into a dance that we will video. You will receive a DVD of your portrait and the freedom to show it when and where you would like (myspace, you tube, your living room, America’s funniest home videos). If you like, we will also post your portrait on our web site.
Commission process: Contact us! The cost of your portrait will be partially tax-deductible.
Commission fees: $100 per minute, up to ten minutes
